Yesterday we have witnessed the solar eclipse. As an interested person, I also would like to see the various transitions of solar eclipse. As we know we can’t watch it with naked eyes.
How could I watch the solar eclipse safely?

Yesterday I visited Indian Science Congress exhibition at University of Kerala, Karyavattom. It is near to the technopark campus. This is the first time the Thiruvananthapuram hosts the Science congress and the second time in Kerala. It is quite interesting and it is a chance to general public to understand the science little more closely. The entry to the exhibition hall is free. (Even though it would be good to take your identity card along with you). A Kerala gramam has organised as the part of this. Here is some pictures which we took.
Last couple of week I was busy with personal things and I could not open my home PC. Last Thursday I checked the home PC and realised that the Internet connection was not available. I checked the modem and Internet settings. It was perfect and I couldn’t able to find any problem.
I complained that day itself and didn’t get any response. Next day I rushed to BSNL office and asked the person who is in charge of the broadband. He said he has to check the modem. I gave the modem and he changed something. He said it will work. I asked what was the problem. He said the connection settings were updated and gave me a print out with new connection settings.
Developers favorite browser Mozilla Firefox is now available in Malayalam language. I felt that open source projects always has wide support on local languages. It is available not only in Malayalam but also other Indian languages also. Firefox is available in over 70 languages. You can download fully localized versions from Mozilla site.
Open source is always rocking. It will encourage your works and it will come up with new ideas. It gives you the freedom to create new or modify the existing one. A simple example is Firefox persona.
Yesterday just for a fun, I tried firefox persona. Persona is a lightweight skin that changes the look of your Firefox web browser. You can select it from the persona gallery or you can create your own.
The popular online community Facebook is now available in some Indian languages. I never think that Facebook has that much popularity among the Malayalees. Most of the Malayalees using Orkut as their online community. Even it is supporting Malayalam scrap and all, but it not supporting Malayalam user interface. In this case Facebook got a step forward.
I met Sajeeb long back when I was teaching some educational institutions. He always has a smile on his face. Later I understood that he is a good Cartoonist. He tried his talent not only on the paper but also in the computer. He is popularly known as Khan Pothencode.
He always has an urge to study new technology. On that time macromedia flash was a new technology. He wants to study that. I haven’t had a better idea of Flash. But I taught him the basics of Flash.
Recently I met him online. He sent this link to me. Keralacatoons.blogspot.com. I think now he is a good flash animator. His creative are listed there. His cartoons are coming with a good sense of humour and provocation.
I wish him all the best.
Yesterday I have attended the Adobe’s The Grand Unveil seminar, conducted at Mascot hotel Trivandrum, Kerala. Really it was awesome enough rather than I expected. Registration was already started when I reached there. It was around 9.15 AM. My colleagues were filling the registration form at that time. We got Adobe leaflet along with the registration form.
We 6 people represented Flip Media, Trivandrum for this Adobe’s seminar. And it was around 150 people from different companies attended the seminar. It was quite interesting.
The seminar speakers did a very well job. They are very interactive. They are tried to cover the new features of adobe creative suite 4 even though there is not enough time.
Even the people who are in expert of Photoshop or other software’s of Adobe were got wonder when the speakers explained some techniques.
Any way the seminar was really informative. The tagline of Adobe create suite 4 is really meaningful – Shortcut to brilliant. It really means. Thanks to adobe to arrange this seminar in Trivandrum.
